I have totally been obsessed with whipped cream recently. Kinda just adding it to everything possible! Needless to say, my whipped cream maker has been put to good use! But really, what would life be without fun garnishes like whipped cream and pretty pink berries…yes enjoy every last minute and bite of life, because it’s too short not to!
Alright, so you may have heard the term “Collagen Peptides” a lot, especially more recently! Big, complicated word right? And yes those sorta confuse me. So what even is collagen peptides? Well, they pretty much are this totally natural, magical, healthy superfood.
Now collagen peptides and gelatin are different, same awesome health benefits, but collagen peptides has already been broken down giving you the advantage that you can stir it into hot or cold liquids or even pancake batter for some extra protein and nutrition without it gumming up like traditional gelatin.
I could go on and on about the health benefits of collagen, but to start, it improves skin, nail and hair health, digestion, bone support, metabolism, and satiety. I can first hand tell you all of the benefits, because since adding a tablespoon of collagen peptides to my eating routine about 3 times a week, my hair has once again started growing! It also keeps you full for a long time, and I am not a drink your meals type person. But mixing a bit of this into my morning cup of coffee along with a generous pour of cream is truly like a meal!

This sounds amazing and I love the photos–especially the one with the chocolate shavings! I haven’t tried collagen peptides yet but you’ve just sold me on them :). I need this shake in my life!
Hi, I am just wondering how eating collagen improves your hair and skin. Our bodies build up their own collagen but eating collagen does not help in any way. If collagen is eaten, it gets broken down in the stomach, just like any other protein.
If I don’t eat dairy, what would you suggest substituting for the whole milk yogurt? Looks delicious!
any whole milk, plain yogurt will do…there are dairy free options available or you could just use coconut milk 🙂
