I just returned from a fabulous week trip to South Dakota to be apart of one of my best friends weddings! That part of the country is so beautiful and thankfully the husband laughed when I tried to bring home all the cute baby cows!

You all know my love for safer skin care alternatives, something that has made such a big difference in my life and I am so passionate about teaching YOU!  I have been wearing Beautycounter makeup for over a year now, and the more products I try, the more I absolutely love it! But can we be honest for a minute? You all know I am all about being real!  I was a bit skeptical of how the makeup would hold up for an all day long event.  I had never worn Beautycounter makeup to a big event like a friends wedding, so that hint of hesitation was there!

I know many of you all will be attending weddings or even in weddings this summer, maybe your even getting married yourself! Wow, thats exciting! So I wanted to share my experience with you all 🙂

Wedding & Event Day Makeup

To prep your skin:

Makeup Lineup:

Tint Skin Foundation: I usually only apply in my T-zone area, but since this was an event, I applied it all over.  I have never been a liquid foundation girl, but this foundation seriously changed my stance on that.  It blends so easily and doesn’t leave your skin feeling greasy!  I wear Linen.

Touchup Concealer Pen: I apply this under my eyes and love how it easily blends in! I wear Medium 1 (went a tad darker with the color since I use it under my eyes).

Mattify Skin Finishing Powder: I absolutely love this powder as it leaves your skin feeling so great and I promise you won’t have any oily foreheads at the end of the day.  Since this was a long day, I applied just a bit more of the powder on my nose and forehead right before the ceremony.

Color Sweep Blush Duo: This was my first ever Beautycounter purchase and a year later I still have a bit left! I love how natural this blush makes your face look while at the same time providing that perfect amount of color. I wear Bloom/Tulip (how cute is that name too).

Lip Sheer: I pretty much am obsessed with this lipstick, and that says a lot because I never wear anything on my lips because I don’t like the feel! I promise you will forget you are even wearing lipstick and it doesn’t get in your teeth, which is nice!  Some of the other bridesmaids loved how the lip sheer felt like chapstick too! I wore Rose for this event for a good pop of color, but on the daily basis I wear Petal.

Brushes: Powder Brush & Angled Blush Brush.  These brushes are almost too soft to be true!

Eye Shadow: I love that these eye shadows come with two complimentary colors so you don’t have to purchase or carry so many! Shell/Malt is my go to, but for more formal events I like to add in Fawn/Night.  I use the darker black one as eye liner.

Mascara: I actually use Baremineral’s Mascara because I just love it, but Beautycounter also has a mascara HERE.

Don’t forget, for the entire month of July, I am personally sending you a small sunscreen stick ($18 value) with any Beautycounter purchase of $75 or more!  Safe sunscreen is such a huge passion of mine since I spend a lot of time outdoors, so I want to help encourage you to get started!
