I must admit—I absolutely love cooking, but one of my favorite parts of having people over, is setting the table! There is something truly magical about gathering around a table, especially during this festive season!
Today, I am so excited to bring you this festive tablescape plus a few ways to make entertaining stress free, courtesy of Anthropologie and in collaboration with Everyday by Everly!
I always say to start with classic white dinner plates—I use these Juliska ones each night (SO sturdy my hubby loves them), but I also love these from West Elm (currently 20% off) & these fancier gold rimmed ones as pictured.
When you start with white, your food looks all the more beautiful, plus then you can add fun accent and dessert plates depending on the season. White is just such a clean look that I love!
We dressed up the basic white with these gold rimmed dinner plates and painted Christmas icon dessert plates! These would be so fun to give a set of 4 as a hostess present!
For flowers and greenery, I always encourage you to go with what is seasonal! You will save money and probably get something a bit more fresh that lasts longer! Trader Joe’s has a great selection (be sure to go in the morning, so the flowers aren’t picked over, or ask them to go i the back!) and always the best prices!
I love grabbing flowers with different textures because that always combines to make a great arrangement!
For napkins, like the dinner plates, I like to stick to a basic white palate—I use these linen napkins every day and love just throwing them in the washing machine to save on waste. For the holidays, it is fun to dress up your napkins a bit, so we chose these gold herringbone patterned napkins, but I also love these basic fringed cotton white ones!
Anytime during celebrations or the holidays, I like to focus on the occasion rather than stressing if the food is perfect! Remember to keep it simple and focus on the spirit of the season rather than perfection. I love these 4 recipes for putting together a simple, grain-free happy hour, these mini gingerbread bundt cakes or the fool-proof herb crusted beef tenderloin in the Christmas chapter of my cookbook!
If you need inspiration for staying healthy during the holidays be sure to listen to our podcast episode “Flourishing Through this Festive Season.”
Cheers!
