For me, my confidence and productivity thrive when my hair looks and feels good, especially when using natural hair products. It’s truly about how I show up for myself, not how I look for others.
Taking a few minutes to style your hair through seasons of hair loss, to cover those bald spots or if you are having a bad day, shifts your body into a positive state which boosts your energy and calms stress hormones!
Finding clean hair care products that are filled with nourishing ingredients that also work, isn’t the easiest task. And over the years, I’ve tried just about everything. Here’s what natural hair products I love and that leave you feeling great about your hair!

How to make your hair products more effective…
Rotate your products.
I like to cycle through a few different shampoos and conditioners and not use the same item for too long. This can take time to build up your repertoire but I’ve found long term that this extends time between washes (saving you time and money) and allows you to use less of the product (saving you money)! Your hair can also get used to a product which can lead to build up and greasy hair.
Extend time between washes.
The more you wash your hair, the more oils your scalp will produce which leads to greasy hair. It takes time to train your hair, but start by giving your hair a good, deep scrub and then slowly increase the days between washes. Salt shampoo and dry shampoo will help with this process. Watch this short tutorial for how to do this.
It truly has taken me years, and SO much trial and error, to get to this list of effective and clean hair products, so enjoy!
Daily Short List
Mane and Nails
Help your hair, skin and nails grow like a weed with biotin, silica, hyaluronic acid and herbs – the building blocks of beauty. You’ll see and feel the difference quickly. One of the only hair supplements that also contains hyaluronic acid which cushions tissues, helps decrease wrinkles and acts as a moisture barrier to the skin. What I love about this is compared to so many other hair supplements, you only have to take 1-2, and it works!
Green Compass Lemon Lime Collagen
Collagen is a key amino acid necessary for muscles, joints, connective tissue, hair and nails. As we age and with the stress of modern times, collagen production decreases, so it’s important to replenish for healthy hair growth, feel and volume. This collagen is unique because it contains CBG (one of the cannabinoids found in the hemp plant—CBG works together with other endocannabinoid receptors located in the skin and scalp which calms inflammation, assists in cell turn over and balances oil production.
Goop Salt Scalp Scrub Shampoo
Use weekly for a deep cleanse to remove grime, dead skin cells and build up from the scalp. You’ll be able to extend time between washes and notice your scalp doesn’t weigh down your hair as much.
Andalou Shampoo + Conditioner
I’ve used this brand for over a decade, since highschool, and it’s the best clean hair collection for the price. One of the only effective clean shampoos and conditioners I’ve found without added fragrances. I find you need a bit more as it’s not as concentrated. You can choose based on your hair type—my favorites are Exotic Marula Oil (to tame frizz) and Argan Oil (for moisture). I use this one with our children too.
Beautycounter Shampoo + Conditioner
This jumps a bit in price point, but you need such a small amount, the bottles last a long time. I’ve found that rotating my shampoo and conditioner brands helps me extend time between washes. You’ll always find this in our shower—it’s one of the only clean hair products that works and is free of fragrances. Biggest difference I’ve noticed with Beautycounter’s shampoo + conditioner is that it removes build up and your hair is silky soft + clean for days after.
Act + Acre Detangling Brush
I’ve tried so many detangling, wet brushes and this one truly works. If you have fine and tangly hair like me and my daughter, this is a great addition.
Primally Pure Dry Shampoo
I typically massage this into my hair roots starting at day 2-3. All natural ingredients that work to volumize and take away greasy roots. Here’s a video tutorial of the process and how I can go about 6 days between washes. FLOURISH for 10% off any order.
Reverie Milk Anti-Frizz Treatment
I’ve searched high and low for something that works to tame frizz without weighing down my hair. This leaves your hair soft, smooth and nourished. I have had this bottle for 2+ years as you only need 2-3 pumps for long hair like mine.

Innersense Sweet Spirit Leave In Conditioner
This detangler spray works on dry hair and wet hair and easily removes tangles without tears. It’s a lifesaver for my sweet daughter’s hair.
Pure Radiance Vitamin C
Necessary for collagen production and synthesis in the body. It also boosts adrenal function which is key for hair growth. Take with Mane and Nails for the ultimate hair duo.
Goop Great Day Hair Kit
Love at first use!!! This shampoo conditioner duo leaves you with silky smooth and soft hair. This one is a bit more expensive, so I like to rotate it in on occasion about once every 10 or so days. Go light on the amount of conditioner used, a little goes a long way, and too much left my hair a bit weighed down.
Rahua Color Full Hair Mask
If you color your hair, invest in this once a week or twice a month deep conditioning hair mask. This is one of the best natural hair products I’ve ever seen. It helps lock in moisture and keep your color or highlights fresh. It’s been the best addition to my hair routine lately.
T3 Featherweight Hair Dryer
I’ve had this for years and it is a professional level hair dryer that’s worth the investment! As someone with thick, long hair, this gets the job done!
