An energy and adrenal boosting superfood coffee recipe filled with adaptogens and healthy fats to keep you fueled all day!

You may know from following me that I gave up caffeine over 2 years ago, almost 3 now…wow! This was one of the best decisions I ever made for my health and the benefits both to my adrenal healing and hormones as well as increased, sustainable energy has blown my expectations.
But I LOVE the ritual of coffee…and the smell and taste! It’s something I look forward to every morning during my early morning routine when the house is calm and quiet. I light a candle, pull out my devotions and prayer journal and then get started on a bit of work before morning snuggles with my sweet daughter.


This adrenal boosting superfood coffee is full of adaptogens—you all know I love adaptogens for hormone balance. Cordyceps and reishi in particular are great for helping the body navigate stress and boost your energy. They also taste great in coffee (sort of an earthy, smoky flavor) so you won’t notice it much.
Cordyceps :: These help boost energy at a foundational level through the cellular production of ATP. Benefits also include combatting fatigue, improved athletic stamina and increasing oxygenation and blood flow.
Reishi :: I love this one for adrenal fatigue—it can help with insomnia, in particular turning off a racing mind, ease anxiety and provide a sense of calm and grounding. It helps the body navigate incoming stressors with ease.

Adrenal Boosting Superfood Coffee with Adaptogens
Ingredients
- 1-2 cups Swiss water process decaf coffee*
- 1-2 tbsp cream, coconut milk or nut milk
- 1 tsp vanilla ghee
- 1 tbsp grass-fed collagen
- 1/4 tsp cordyceps
- 1/4 tsp reishi
- sprinkle of cinnamon
*Swiss water process is a method of extracting the caffeine without harsh chemicals. Look for this label when you can!
Directions
- Brew your coffee.
- Add the remaining ingredients to your coffee cup.
- Pour in your hot coffee and use a hand whisk/frother to blend until smooth.
- Sip and enjoy!
