Oh my—I am so so SO excited to finally share the news with you all! So much behind the scenes preparations have gone into this and bam bam bam its here…I am writing a cookbook! YAY!

Introducing All American Paleo Table—Classic Homestyle Cooking From a Grain Free Perspective—written and photographed my me! I am going to be an author…oh my!  Slightly overwhelming, slightly scary and completely enthusiastic over the thought!

The cookbook is really more than just a cookbook. Its a memory book, taking you through various events near and dear to our hearts as Americans and recreating those foods from a grain free and Paleo perspective.

This book is about gathering. It’s about family…and friends. It’s about laughter. It’s about coming together around the table. That is the heart of the cookbook.

Each chapter will take you on a culinary journey through various events—from quiet mornings around coffee cups to football tailgates, from every day comfort foods to old fashioned diner favorites, from a red, white and blue table to a Thanksgiving feast—there is something in this book for every one and every occasion!

When I was first diagnosed with type 1 diabetes a few years back and switched to a grain free diet, it was always the foods associated with memories that I missed the most.  It was the times in college I went to football tailgates wishing there was something I could eat.  It was the time during Christmas that I missed making cinnamon rolls with my dad.  And it’s the time when all I really want on a Friday night is to sit on the couch with the husband eating pizza and watching movies.  These are the foods that will be in All American Paleo Table.

There will be fried chicken and waffles, smoked ribs, coconut cream pie, Thanksgiving browned butter stuffing, blackberry skillet jam and so much more!  All these recipes will be grain free and low in starch and sweeteners. I really wanted to make this book accessible for all people, especially people like me with diabetes. Most importantly all the recipes will be recipes that will bring joy to your daily kitchen table or celebratory gathering!  They will put a smile on your face as you are able to recreate your favorite foods, using healthy ingredients.

You can pre-order the cookbook here on Amazon, or Barnes & Noble, Indigo, Books-a-Million, Indie Bound, and wherever books are sold!

If you follow me on Instagram, you may have noticed this beautiful photoshoot a few months back.  These photoshoot days were filled with endless work from friends, family and complete strangers who helped me make my dream and vision come to life.  I can’t thank those people enough and thank you all for giving your time and talents to help me!  A huge thank you to my amazingly talented friend Amber of SCHYNE Photography for her capturing my dreams on camera and not sleeping for a few days to make this possible.

So follow along on Instagram (see #americanpaleotable), Facebook and my newsletter for sneak peaks! The book will be a fall 2015 release and I can’t wait to show you all more, but for now its back to the kitchen I go…

A special thank you to Flowers by Annette for florals, Vocabulary Boutique for clothing, Mimi & Lu for jewelry design, Marisol for hair and make up, and my friends for their lovely ranch house setting.  Many more thanks go to my husband, parents, friends, and taste-testers for helping me get to this point!
