Image of Branch Basics cleaner set with natural bathroom cleaner, window cleaner, stain remover, and more!My mom first introduced me to Branch Basics, back in the day when I thought non-toxic living was for hippies (just being honest)!  But these past two years, switching to safe products has been a huge priority for my husband and I—and we HAVE seen the benefits!

Creating a safe, non-toxic home can benefit you and your family’s health in ways you might not even imagine! Trust me, I am living proof and this conscious decision has been one aspect of helping me recover from debilitating migraines, PMS symptoms, adrenal fatigue and hormone issues—all of which, I previously thought were just *normal.*

Branch Basics re-launched their totally natural cleaning line when I was newly pregnant and I instantly jumped on their starter kit, knowing I wanted to surround myself and growing baby with the cleanest environment possible.

I became instant friends with the adorable, passionate and highly-educated women behind Branch Basics.  We have had Allison and Marilee on the podcast and their stories are incredible!

Not only are their products the safest on the market in my opinion, but they WORK!

Why Choose Safe, Non-Toxic Cleaning Supplies?

We believe choices like the food we put in our bodies, the paint we put on our walls, and the cleaners we use around our homes have power; the power to rob us of good health or to cultivate it. —Branch Basics

According to a 2016 study, health conditions linked to everyday chemicals cost the United States $340 billion in treatment and lost productivity costs.

Looking for the best option to make your home feel clean without harmful chemicals is a heavy task. But why should you choose chemical-free cleaners?

The toxins and chemicals in our household cleaning products, laundry detergent, bedding, and building materials affect our respiratory, neurological, and hormonal systems and can cause asthma, thyroid dysfunction, estrogen dominance, learning disabilities, migraines, and so much more. Safe cleaning products are safer for use as they don’t have side effects.

Using cleaning products without harming chemicals such as hydrogen peroxide is the safer choice. Unfortunately, harsh chemicals are found in most household cleaners and personal care products. The typical all-purpose cleaner has synthetic fragrances that often include phthalates which are endocrine disruptors, and some even contain carcinogenic ingredients. In the best of cases, children and adults may have allergic reactions to these chemicals.

Especially for pregnant women, babies, small children, and those with sensitive skin and difficulty detoxing, non-toxic cleaning supplies are SO important!

On the other hand, these products are better for the environment. Even if you aren’t choosing exactly eco-friendly cleaning products, by limiting the number of harsh toxic chemicals you release into the environment, you are already helping the planet. Most cleaning supplies end up in waterways and poison our natural resources.

Yes, creating a non-toxic home is one of the BEST forms of preventative health!

Keeping Cleaning Simple

Branch Basic’s cleaning concentrate is human-safe, plant and mineral based, fragrance-free, free of harmful toxins, hypoallergenic, and biodegradable. *I will also add that it is not made with essential oils, which can be too intense for some and even harmful in large amounts.*

For the minimalist in me, I love that they have one general cleaning concentrate, which you easily add to refillable bottles depending on what you want to clean—all-purpose, bathrooms, or glass. This one-size-fits-all safe, non-toxic cleaning solution can help keep your cost down and cleaning closet organized. You can use it as a glass cleaner, as a stain remover to remove that old stain in your kitchen that has been there for ages, to clean your hardwood floors or tile floor, keep your stainless steel kitchen sink with a streak-free shine, and anything you can think of. This bottle of concentrate is meant to be diluted, so a little bit goes a long way.

Natural Brighteners without the Junk

I am OBSESSED with their Oxygen Boost. I use it to brighten all my white linens, towels, and clothes…which I have a lot of white in my house…and it helps keep that nice, bright white without the use of harmful bleach or brighteners that have a disgusting smell that lasts more than the next day.

Did you know that bleach results in the most household poisonings each year? Bleach and brighteners also interact with other chemicals, not only releasing a reaction during use, but the chemicals linger long term. Bleach can also cause respiratory distress and headaches, something I instantly notice when I am around bleach.

You can use Branch Basic’s Oxygen Boost to clean laundry stains. Yes, a scoop of the oxygen boost works even on dark stains and scrubs tough areas like tile or grout. You get all of this cleaning power without harmful preservatives.
